I know you put a great deal of work into your Truckin' analysis, but it seems a bit odd to me that you missed 4/11/72 completely. It's certainly one of the all-time greatest ever perfomances of the song. But you give a stellar write up for 9/14/74, which is so bad it's rather difficult to listen to. Normally your reviews are very solid, I'd love to hear your take on this...

The list is not comprehensive, Cliff. Surely there are other obvious ones that I missed. I'm only human. 4/11/72 is great, as you say, and I added it to the list later, as I'm sure you already saw.

Bobby's flub on 9/14/74 is pretty bad, it's true, but I appreciate the recovery and the jam into space. You're free to skip it of course.

No, the entire song is a mess and the jam never comes together. In fact, both 9/14/74 and 9/20/74 are very poor performances. But I guess the Grateful Dead only have to "plug in" for a show to get a five-star rating...

Just my opinion. You might want to find something more interesting to get worked up about. There are dozens of other selections on that list, after all.
